On June 22, 2015, at approximately 11:22 pm, the Lakewood Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 200 block of River Ave, Lakewood, NJ. Once on scene, Lakewood Police Ptl. Dennis Scannell observed the vehicle had impacted a utility pole and found the male driver, later identified as Hassan Parker, 32, of Ardmore Ave in South Toms River, NJ, with what appeared to be a stab wound to his chest. Medics arrived on scene to administer life saving measures and transported the victim to Kimball Medical Center, where he was subsequently pronounced dead at 12:21 am by Dr. Silacci of Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus.
The investigation into the circumstances of the stabbing and identification of the victim’s attacker is being conducted by the Lakewood Police Department, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Major Crimes Unit and Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI.
