Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato announced today the culmination of an investigation into drug activity in the Ocean County area.
Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group, Northern Enforcement Unit conducted a cooperative multi agency drug investigation with the Brick Township Police Department that resulted in the arrest of an Ocean County resident on various drug charges. During the course of the investigation, Detectives obtained a no knock search warrant for a residence located at 638 Hillside Avenue, Brick Township NJ.
On Tuesday June 23, 2015 at approximately 1:50 pm Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Northern Enforcement Unit, along with members of the Brick Township Police Department, and the Brick Township Police Emergency Services Unit executed the no knock search warrant at the subject residence. As a result, police seized approximately 60 grams of cocaine, a quantity of Xanax along with assorted drug paraphernalia including packaging materials and a digital scale. Police also seized approximately $15,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
Morris Leon Howard a.k.a. “Pudgy”, age 39 of 638 Hillside Avenue, Brick Township NJ was arrested and charged with Possession of Xanax, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine over one half ounce with Intent to Distribute and Possession of drug paraphernalia. The Honorable Superior Court Judge Wendel E. Daniels P.J.Cr.P. set bail at $100,000 cash for Mr. Howard who was subsequently housed in the Ocean County Jail.
