Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato and Brick Township Police Chief James Riccio today announced the arrest of Dr. Alfred B. Parchment, 53, of Toms River for the charge of Harassment (Offensive Touching) via 2C:33-4B.
The arrest on Tuesday (8/30) stems from an investigation by Ocean County Prosecutors Special Victims Unit Det. Alex Bromley and Brick Township Police Department Det. Dan Waleski alleging Dr. Alfred B. Parchment inappropriately touched a female patient following the conclusion of her medical examination at Brick Women’s Physicians, Obstetrics and Gynecology.
The offense being a Disorderly Persons Offense, Parchment was released on a summons to appear in Brick Municipal Court on a future date. The New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners was notified of the charge.
The media and the public are reminded that criminal charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
